Steve is an award-winning senior Art Director, Creative Director and Mentor who began his early career with a seven year stint at BBH and was subsequently one of Adam and Eve’s first hirings as Head of Art. He has since worked at Strawberry Frog Amsterdam, Leith, BMB, VCCP Leo Burnett and recently freelanced at BBC Creative producing four social first, launch campaigns.
Steve’s work has been recognised by the major global awards shows including D&AD, Cannes Lions, Campaign Big, Epica and Kinsale, with his McDonald’s Café poster campaign now part of the permanent collection at the New York Poster Museum.
At Leo Burnett, Steve was proud to be part of the D&I steering committee. Inspired by his own background and experiences, he was a driving force behind the agency’s apprenticeship scheme and placement system, mentoring and helping a diverse range of underrepresented and marginalised young people to begin their careers in advertising. He is very proud that 9 creative placements went on to get full time employment and promising careers.
Steve has also worked closely with the charity Barnardo’s to help children with emotional, social and mental health needs. His most recent project involved a collaboration with High Close School, using his advertising experience to co-create a film with the students that documented their lives and gave voice to their hopes for the future.
In his spare time Steve likes to paint landscapes and walk his dog Rocky.
